Walk through your current project's CI/CD pipeline

A behavioral/technical hybrid question asking the candidate to describe their real-world CI/CD experience in depth. Interviewers look for familiarity with the full pipeline: source control triggers, build steps, automated testing (unit, integration, e2e), artifact packaging, environment promotion (dev → staging → prod), rollback strategies, and monitoring/alerting post-deploy.

Strong answers name specific tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, ArgoCD, etc.), mention how secrets and environment configs are managed, discuss deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling), and reflect on pain points or improvements the candidate drove. This is as much a communication/ownership question as a technical one.
