SDE 1 role - Backend
Round 1:
- Tell me something about urself. [5 minutes ]
- Discussion about internship and follow ups. How would you scale the work you did during internship. Discussion around internal working of DynamoDB and follow ups [40 minutes ]
- DSA question : brute to optimised [10 minutes ]

Round 2:
- Interviewer gave his intro and told about his work, and asked questions on that. How would you approach/ what is benefit of doing this/ Why we should do this/ How would we take care of this situation type question related to Zomato. [ 35 minutes ]

- System design question - Design an image upload system [45 minutes]
- what protocol will you use?
- Write code for CRUD Api's
- Status code, request payload , response payload , headers, authentication applications
- SQL query related to above system ( related to joins)
- Optimise query
- indexing ( implementation and applications)
Round 3
- Cultural fit round at Zomato HQ Gurgaon [30 minutes]
- Normal discussion, why do you want to join zomato, your expectations
Verdict : SELECTED
Note: Both technical rounds happened on Google doc
Focus on DSA Leetcode (Medium - Hard ) , DBMS and System design
They did not asked me much DSA, but they deep dived into System design in both rounds.
Hope for best, prepare for worst.
