Rejected after 2 unexpected technical rounds and a CTO-run "HR" round with long unexplained delays

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zomato in Oct 2016

Interview

In the JNF(Job Notification Form), zomato mentioned that there will be no tech interview, only hr interview (after resume shortlisting and an online coding round) and they will hire upto 10 students. What they did is, arranged for 3 interviews ( 2tech and 1hr where the hr interview was taken by CTO...awesome HR team ) and hired 3 students. I qualified the 1st interview round. My second round interview result were delayed for some unknown reason. In that course of time, other students completed their third round interview as well and I was still waiting for my second round results. This creates a very bad impression of Zomato. And after a long wait, they rejected me.
