Interview cancelled on arrival after tech-stack mismatch was disclosed only in person (Java vs PHP)

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Zomato

I have 9+ years of work exp in Core Java. They called me f2f interview for which I travelled around 45KM on a working day morning. On reaching there I was surprised when they told me- "It seems you have most of your exp in Core Java. But we are working only on PHP. I suppose you think about it and be sure if you want to switch to PHP. It will be a waste of time if we start interview and then you dont join due to change in tech." Given the fact that 1. they already had my resume with them 2. I had requested for a first round telephonic, but was not done 3. most companies do a explo call before starting I am filled with such a disgusting feeling about them I cant explain.. After talking to them about this I got one conclusion- 1. Zomato doesnt care about candidates - how can they care about employees 2 They are habitual of calling candidates for f2f (on candidates expense) and then they read the resume. Beware of this company...Cant grow like this..
